My niece and longtime client called me and asked me to help her announce her pregnancy with a fun photo project. She and her family stopped by my house and we did a short photo session and then I edited the image to add the details in. It turned out so cute and I was excited to be able to try something new! You might recognize my nephew from his senior photos.  He is headed to Chile for a 2 year mission for our church. My youngest son was sick for about 5 days. Not super sick to where he wanted to lay in bed all day...just sick enough that he couldn't go to school. :( So we did lots of playing. One of the fun things that we did was take photos of his glow sticks. All of these shots were thought up by him. We had such a good time being creative together! This is a family I haven't photographed since 2009.  I couldn't believe it has been so long- I really did think it was sooner!  They are wonderful and such fun.  We had a lovely time at Balboa Park in San Diego.  They are living there now and it was so nice to see them again and photograph not only their fabulous boys but their new little lady as well.  :)

I met the cutest couple to do engagement photos this evening.  I had seen this location but hadn't had the opportunity to shoot there until today.  I'm IN LOVE with these shots.  These are straight out of the camera, the only thing I did was sharpen them a bit. When I arrived at our location I realized that the bride and groom did not come together!  A hadn't yet seen B, so I set it up that I could photograph his reaction when he saw her for the first time.  It was wonderful and absolutely precious!  So glad that it worked out this way... After I took these of Mimi and Max, I just loved the drama that came with the black and white images.  While the color was beautiful, there was something about the simplicity of them once they were changed... Max is only 5 days old here. He's darling and his mama is just thrilled with him, I could tell!  So glad that they could stop by!

My friend Mimi had her baby last night.  :)  Today we went to visit her in the hospital and meet Max for the first time.  He is adorable and so sweet. On Saturday our local high school had it's prom. Saturday, I got together with my darling niece and her fiancee to take some pre-wedding shots.  It started out with a bit of crazy sprinkling rain, but turned into an awesome evening.  (How it can rain when there are no clouds above us, I will never know!!) These two are darling and are just so perfect for each other, it was great fun getting to shoot them on this happiest of occasions!!

This is my hubby's brother and his family...aren't they awesome? They got the perfect bit of dry weather for their photos.  I told them to count on not getting anything for Christmas because they obviously got their gift of dry weather for a family photo.  I must admit that the light was perfect and the cloudy gray sky is my favorite.  So dramatic!
